I am from Istanbul, Turkey. I started to paint when I was a kid. Painting and creating have ever been a passion for me.. I believe this passion comes from my genes, considering I come from an artist family…

I remember almost every painting that I make in my whole scholl life has been exhibited at the schoolhouse.

While I studied city planning at the university, I continued to pigment and create some things. Afterwards some years of working as a city planner, I decided to spend whole my time and energy on painting and I started to written report difficult to gain my second profession.

I've been working professionally for xv years in my own studio in Istanbul. On my paintings, there are many references from my didactics at the university. It tin can be seen geometric forms, lines, angles etc., especially in my early works. Form has been always the most important aspect in my works. On the other mitt, the primary subject has been the figure.

Researching the forms of my figures has been my starting bespeak.. while doing this, I cut the forms of the figures into the pieces. Information technology tin be said that these are cubist simply I have never intend to ascertain my works on whatsoever "-izm"..In short, I've ever tried to observe a painting linguistic communication of my own.

Although my figures accept precipitous lines and forms, I try to give them emotion. The contradiction between sharp concluded lines and soft emotional figures is so challenging and fun for me. ~ evrentemel_art
